The new job definitions support the grouping of parameters and the definition of mandatory, read-only, or hidden parameters. The complexity caused by application jobs containing multiple steps and different parameters is now completely in the hands of the administrators, allowing planners to focus only on the jobs relevant to them.
As part of release 2305, administrators receive a powerful tool to define jobs that can be consumed by planners on a flexible and user-friendly user interface. Triggering algorithms and analyzing the outcome is a common task in a planner’s workday.
Targeted Job Management using Job Definitions in Planner Workspaces
The improved Planner Workspaces app also offers enhanced support of planning filters. Planners can snooze alerts and activate snoozed alerts without leaving the app. Flexible filter options allow the planner to dig even deeper. Consequently, only the data relevant to analyze and solve the alert in focus is displayed. Once the planner selects an alert, the context of the alert is passed to the workbook. Workbooks are a collection of one or more Planner Workspace components, such as planning views or analytics charts. Planners gain new capabilities to perform their planning tasks in an efficient manner and to access the relevant planning data without having to switch between different workspaces.Īs part of SAP IBP 2305, a new navigation menu offers access to workbooks and alerts.
